HTML and CSS techniques and tools

Drupal.org has some useful links for web designers. This is adapted from it:

  1. Use Color schemes to make a color palette first.
  2. Create a favicon (that little icon by the web site name in the browser) with: favicon from pics or favicon generator.
  3. Does your screen design work for those with color blindness? Use Vischeck.
  4. Optimize your images to load faster on your pages: Yahoo! Smush It or Google Page Speed, or programs ImageOptim, PNGOUT, OptiPNG, or Pngcrush.
