You know the guy on the CSI TV show who plays the obnoxious lab tech? He plays the LA designer Saul Bass in that new movie about Hitchcock.  Now I’ll have to go see it… Not because of CSI but, because Saul Bass is a character in a movie! I met Bass when I interviewed with him for a job as a kind of studio manager/assistant (this was before I was a designer or had any training in it). All I remember is that I was not too excited should I be offered the job (the guy I would replace told me all about it and, it sounded pretty stressful); Bass was polite and interesting and; I did not get the job.
